Alan Thorn is an English gentleman living in London, United Kingdom. He is also a freelance computer programmer, mathematician, award-winning writer, games development specialist and independent games developer. He works for some of the world's largest entertainment corporations, and lectures freelance on game development at some of the most prestigious universities in Europe. He is the author of several popular game development books. Two include: Teach Yourself Games Programming, and Introduction to Game Programming with C++. He is also the writer, programmer and artist for the soon-to-be-released video game Wittard: Nemesis of Ragnarok.
